Damn. This. Fucking. Castle.
This is the ONLY reason why this took so long and I frustrated to not end of it since I also didn't end up looking like I imagined it, at all. Except the left part, but ironically that's the part that took the least amount of time. *sigh* Why am I wasting my time with such stupid things!?
Okay, rant over. Just ignore the castle. Buildings and I don't really get along very well art-wise.

Eisblume makes her comic debut. ABOUT TIME! Those who only read the comic and don't care for the rest of my gallery (which is completely understandable) will not know her. Sadly this is also the only appearence she'll get for a while, but it's at least something. Melody already mentioned her once, when she made her report to the herd after her return, but otherwise, Eisblume will remain sort of a mystery in book 1. The Elites that will rather take center stage in her stead are Abigail (which you already know) and Jesse (who you will get to know shortly in this flashback). The pale character in the last panel is Sylvianne by the way. She's another Elite Heranor and a water mage. You know those characters who have a hard time smiling? Well, Sylvianne has a hard time looking angry, concentrated or concerned in general. I pushed her expressive limits in that direction to the limits by making her look passive in the last panel, while in reality she is concentrating on keeping Lia where she is.

Explanation time for non-researchers: Chairon (earth mage) is the oldest brother and in the last panel is lead away by two other Heranors, being seperated from his three younger siblings Shady (water mage), Liadan (fire mage) and Rajani (air mage) who protest heavily against that action. Each of them is being bound by an element opposite of their own (Rajani's hind legs are bound with earth but the panel is cut so you can't see it) so that they cannot stop the Heranors from what they're doing. Basically, witty Eisblume used their naivitée to her advantage to lure them where she knew her siblings would be able to keep them and make them do their dirty work.

I just love how Shady was the one who was suspicious of the whole thing from the very beginning. When you watch him closely in each panel, you can see that by his look (or at least I tried to convey that). He is very loyal to his family and he doesn't easily trust others. Keep that in mind, you will see a lot of that trait of his later when he appears in yet another flashback! ;D

And now we finally know why Rajani's cloak is so short: she cut the back part of it off in an attempt to free herself.

I'm not using a new font for the comic now, by the way. I'm just using an extra font for Eisblume, which I personally find fitting because it can both look wicked and soothing at the same time, which makes it a perfect representation of Eisblume's character. Since she's important, it will be useful to determine which text is from her and which isn't.

.....I know that by now I wrote a lot here and I doubt all of you read that, but please do me a favour: In the third panel (the one with the meadow and the blue sky and nice warm colours) I added signs to show who is who and their age, so that you guys aren't so confused. I added those last minute and still am not sure if those signs are distractign and disturb the read-flow. If you notice them to be a disturbance in the overall look of the page, please tell me and I'll remove them!
