How come that I always get stuck drawing winter forests for SS pictures? :'D The details are killing me every time!
Anyways, I got to draw Angel this year, which is awesome since I love roans in general and I love Angel. She's such a gentle cutie! Since I love birch trees a lot I tried to draw them and found out that one of my rock brushes (not kidding) is the best thing ever when it comes to drawing those stripes! :'D And this got me thinking since I am currently trying to model Derenta landscape-wise (map will hopefully come soon). Ever since buying those wire plants of mine (they are turquoise-whiteish) I wondered how many other plants are bright in color and if trees can have bright leaves. In the end I found some plants who really can have bright leaves. And so I thought: how awesome would it look if birch trees would have white leaves? I'll call it the result of some earth mages screwing around wiht crossing plants and now we have a part of Derenta called silver woods (since white woods sounds boring) where the leaves are white and everythign else. Well, in winter you don't see much difference, so you don't see any of that in this picture, but it still looks very pretty if I may say so myself. c:
I personally love forests in winter int he morning hours, especially when there's good weather. So this was an absolute joy to draw!
I added a little bunny because I needed something Archangel could look at. I hope the bunny looks okay since I used no reference.
