New Reff Sheet since 13.02.2014 | I admit that Maddy IS small in size, but she is not shetland-pony-small, so her reference really needed an urgent update! I will add heights in the Reff Sheets once I figured out how high an average horse is and how high specific breeds are. Plus, I suck in american sizes like "hands", I really have no idea how high that is in centimeters or meters. Alright, just enjoy an update for little Maddy once again, that girl deserves attention!

New Reff Sheet since 19.11.2012 | Well, she's smaller than average horses, but she looked like a Shetland pony in her old Reff. :'D So here have a new Reff and finally also her story!

Name: Madlon (french pronounced)

Nickname: Maddy (always called like that), Mad

Breed: Mustang crossbreed (Caspana)

Age: 5 years (15 human years)

Gender: mare (female)

Magical Skills: she is able to run and react very fast

Personality:

Age 0-1: Maddy was a very active and happy foal who enjoyed a high rank in the herd because her parents were the leaders.

Age 1-3: When her mother died from an illness an other couple became the leading pair and Maddy's high rank was gone. She was very differernt than the other horses in the herd and was until this point only accepted because of her rank. She couldn't take the pain of nonacceptance, so she changed her behaviour into the one the others had. From now on she said what she thought, regardless if her words would hurt others. It didn't take long until she became the most popular mare in the herd among the youngsters once again. She enjoyed the popularity and didn't waste any thought in changing herself back to the one nice girl she once was. Maddy worked on getting even more "cool" to get even more popular, also around the elders.

Age 3.2: Anyway, when her curse awoke she had a mental breakdown. She wasn't able to keep up her cool self anymore and acted very silent, sad and scared.

Age 3.3: Shortly after her breakdown she snapped out of her "depression" (it wasn't really a depression) to save a life she didn't want to risk loosing. Her will to fight no matter what was, at that moment, stronger than anything else. She became furious, eager to kill her torturer, and crazy out of rage.

Age 3.4: After she realised that everything was over, that the life she had built up in the past years was shattering right before her eyes, she became sad. Very sad. She just lost everything and the only hold she had was the one who she couldn't know if she could trust. It took several months until she showed a few life spirits again, until she could be happy again.

Age 4: Maddy had recovered from her breakdown and long time of sadness. She could smile again, she could laugh again,she could be happy again. She finally abandoned the old behaviour which she used to have over the past years and worked on being her happy self again. She took the second chance she got as a new start and in this life she wanted to make others happy instead of hurting them. She still was back into her sad silence from time to time, but overall she was someone completely new now.

Age 5: Maddy finally let her dark times behind herself, though she was still mentally weak. She was determined to be as happy as she could and to finally live out the childhood she never had. Her played naivism was her way of showing that she was someone else now, someone new who could smile, laugh and play happily with friends. She was aware that her behaviour was improper for a mare her age, but she didn't care. When the situation called for it she surely could be serious and far more mature than others expected of her to be, but mostly she stayed happy and playful. Maddy became a very good fighter over the years, Trace taught her, and when she had to, she also could fight to death.

Story:
Maddy once lived in a land in the north named Havenja. Back then she had a completly different behavior: She acted like a bitch and didn't care a shit about others. Her old herd was mainly set together with horses in Maddy's age and the most of them acted like Maddy too. She was the daughter of the previous Leaders, but when her mother died an other couple got to the front. Maddy mainly put her bitchy behaivor on to prevent teasing on her that she wasn't the third important mare in the herd anymore. But once she had her mean behavior set, she couldn't change it anymore and nobody ever dared to contradict her. The ones who were threated the best by her were her "followers" who did everthing what she said.
But this all changed in the winter when Maddy just got 4. Her herd moved to an other part of the area which was unexplored. To proove her followers that everything was fine and that they shouldn't act like cowards, Maddy walked into the forest at night. She was alone and at first she felt pretty self-confident. But then she noticed that someone was following her. At first she thought it was one of her followers who dared to go into the forest too, but when she saw a quick shadow moving away when she looked behind herself she knew that this follower was a stranger. So she ran as fast as she could to get away, but the one who was after her was faster. She died that night.
The rest is told by her in the comic in one of the next chapters. :3
