"No, seriously Ricy! You're like the secret superhero here under a secret mission no one may know, while you go out at night and save us all!" Viola said excited but still tried to keep her voice down.
"You know that it was not like that." Charice replied a little embarassed.
"How was it then? You just fought off an army of demons!" it was hard for the chestnut more to keep her voice down now, but they had enough distance to the herd, so she did not need to worry too much. Still, in Crystalfalls you would never know who was listening to your conversation right at that moment.
"One demon. It was one. And to top it off it was not even that scary or dangerous..." Charice tried to argue.
"A demon anyways. And my super cool little demon-sis has fought it off! I'm so proud!" the lighter mare sighed at her best friend's remarks. There was no way to convince her otherwise.
"I did not have much of a choice though. I mean, I was in the woods anyway..."
"Yeah yeah, I know. If the herd would see you they would think a demon bit you, or a vampire, or a wolf."
"Though the latter is true."
"I was bitten by these beasts too and am still normal. You, Ricy, have nearly been killed by these furry monsters! I guess this is a little of a difference."
"Let's just not talk about it..." Charice said and shook her head. It had been last autumn and it certainly was not a pleasant memory. Viola though seemed to amazed by what had happened to her and that her shy friend had gained such supernatural powers. 'Poetic justice' was what she called it, but the timid mare still had her doubts about all of that.
"You're right! Let's better talk about how awful it is that your superhero missions have to be kept a secret! I bet that if the herd would know, you could not save yourself from the stallions' attention." Viola sighed a little jealous.
"You know that I don't really like attention..."
"I know, but what's wrong with finding yourself a stallion?" Viola asked innocently. Charice stopped and shook her head as if a spider would have sat down on it which she now tried to get rid off. Her face turned red at her friend's latest remark.
"No no no no no, we talked about that already plenty of times!"
"Oh come on, Ricy! I know that our herd consists of morons, but look where we are," she motioned at the area around them, "We live in Crystalfalls! One of the biggest lands which I know off, with many more horse herds. I bet that if we just walk around for a while we will find some nice guys out there! That's how auntie did it, aren't I'm right?"
Charice rolled her eyes. Yes, it has been exactly how her mother had found her father, but she just was not up for something like that. Not yet at least. "We would probably die. There are tons of predators and demons out there too, you know."
"Oh, not don't be such a pessimist, Ricy! It would be fun!"
"What would be fun?"  a voice asked from behind and the two mares jumped, startled. Behind them stood Matt, a member of their herd.
"Go away Matt, we're having a girl talk here." Viola said while Charice just turned a little red. She wondered how much the stallion had heard.
"Yeah, most defenitely. So you two want to roam through the whole land and brave demons and predators just to get laid?" he asked amused and smirked. Viola angrily glared at him.
"Fuck off already!" she yelled and posed herself protecting in front of Charice in case it would come to a fight. Matt did not even think about fighting though and voluntary went away, still with a knowing smirk on his face.
"Such an annoying brat." Viola mumbled though Matt could still hear her. She then turned around again and proceeded to walk next to Charice.
"How much do you think did he hear?" the timid mare asked. Viola did not reply though and just threw a glance back at the stallion who went back to the herd. A grin spread on her face. "He really has a nice ass though." she now added, while she was sure that Matt was out of hearing range.
"Strange, one minute ago you just said that all stallions of our herd are morons." Charice said. Viola turned to look at her and now saw a knowing grin on Charice's face.
"I refered that to their personalities. Most of them cannot even count to fifty and only care about that one thing, you know." she shook her head. "That does not mean that they don't have good looks though." she said and turned her head again.
"So you still have hots for Matt?" Charice asked with a grin. Viola had been together with him for only one day after she had made him pretty eyes for months.
"No, not really. But that is not the problem." Viola turned dead serious now and raised her head like a teacher did. "You, my sister, have not made any experiences liek this yet and as my role as your best friend it is my duty to change that!" on the last part her serious expression turned to a teasing grin.
"Don't you dare!" Charice said and shoved her friend friendly in the shoulder.
"Oh, I do dare. Should I call Matt back?" the teasing grin never left Viola's face.
"If you do that I might think twince about not trying out these demon-army-destroying-powers on you." Charice laughed. Of course she was not serious, but it did the trick. Viola shook her head and laughed.
"Nah, just teasing you there." she finally admitted, though that had been clear and playfully nuzzled her friend. "Though I was serious about this 'roaming Crystalfalls to find a stallion' idea. But you are right, if we want to do that, we need to make preparations." Viola said and suddenly started to galopp. "Like working on your stamina you slowpoke!"
"That's not fair! You had a head start!" Charice said while laughing and trying to catch her friend.

anyway, some Vio and Charice art! I missed drawing them, it already is two years since I last drew them together! ;n; I love them so much!
This scene takes place shortly before shit hit the fan in Charice's herd and before she has to flee. So just a month (comic time) before Charice appeared in Irendigo. Poor Charice. :c
