previous part: CW|Objective - The Witch's Call| On Bachelor Lands by Lilafly | next part: not out yet

I have to go school now, so i'll make it short. rest will be added later.

Yesterday I didn't have the inspiration to draw anything else than CW art, so have an other art piece for the objective. This scene with Illucid was too sweet to not draw! :XD: Anyway, when I was trying to do my maths homework yesterday I noticed that in the other three pictures I drew for the objective I totally forgot the snow! :ohmygod: First thing I did when noticing it was hitting my head with the maths book. :XD: Bad habit of mine. :giggle: Anyway, have some snow in this one at least. ^^; It's kinda awkward to suddenly have a piece with snow in it while the previous ones didn't have any of the cold white stuff in them. :dead:
The story to this will follow this afternoon when I have more time. But for now just enjoy the picture!
Miraphy
She looked around to finally take in the group. Some horses, like Zsa Zsa, had kept quiet for some time, waiting out the situation. Miraphy was unsure if she should approach any of them and start a conversation. After her outburst she didn't feel like talking at all. It was so embarassing. Sleeping would be the best decision right now, she would have enough time to talk in the morning.

Miraphy wished Zsa Zsa a good night and decided to leave her to herself for a bit. She knew that the older mare didn't see her as a burden, but after being around her for the whole day she thought that they'd both need some time for themselves. She followed Ba'Yagu under the great pine and also saw a stallion her age - his name had been Illucid, right? - laying down under the huge tree. She did not want to be a burden to any of them, so she flattened her ears in a shy manner and layed down with some distance to both Illucid and Ba'Yagu.

It had been a long and eventful day and Miraphy needed a moment to think everything through. She had decided that she would follow the witch to the forth island. Even when she didn't want to let her friends from Olde die, it wouldn't help if she stayed here. She wasn't good at fighting, she just could run away. If there would be a war, she would be one of the first to die. It wouldn't be good for anyone and she couldn't do anything to save to ones she cared about. Sadly she looked at her necklace and thought of what she left behind now. It really was a lot and it made her feel sad. But maybe she could return someday. Maybe her friends would survive the war and everything would be like it had been. She had to keep on to that thought.

The cold of winter lingered on the ground and Miraphy started to shiver a bit. She hated winter. She hated it a lot. It had nearly cost her life some years ago, but a simple building in the city had saved her. She would never see the city again, or the pine forests of Olde. She would never see the huge meadows of the Eastern Island again when spring came and everything was covered with flowers. She would never feel the warmth of the Southern Isle again and would never again be able to explore the Charred Forest. She sighed at the thought. Would she ever be able to return to any of the three islands or would she live on this fourth island forever?

Her pessimistic nature got the better of her in the end and she felt miserable. She looked at Illucid who didn't look like he wanted to sleep that soon. She gave him a little smile, staying polite was important after all, and layed her head down on the cold ground again. Her eyes distantly watched the other loners discussing, but lingered at the clouds that promised snow.

Illucid
His ears perked when he saw Miraphy coming over, and he watched as the pretty mare found her own place to settle. With all the commotion around him, Illucid hardly had any time to realize that he was surround by horses of both genders. Normally, when presented with a mare, he became a blustering idiot. Now, as the realization hit him, he could do nothing but stare awkwardly at Miraphy. He didn't want to be staring, and he knew if she noticed, it would cause his face to turn as red as a ripe strawberry. The young stallion forced his gaze away, trying to find something else to focus on. It was difficult, with that thought lingering on his mind. There were other mares, too. Perhaps this whole trip would end badly for him now that he knew he was traveling with them. He wasn't even sure why, but it was just so hard for him to get his mind straight with the female population. Then again, maybe making this trip with them would help ease his idiotic tendencies around them. It was mostly due to the fact that he hadn't seen many mares most of his life, and he always felt that they needed to be treated differently. He figured that the more he was around them, the easier it would get. With the new thought flying around his head, Illucid risked a glance back over to the loner mare. He noticed her shiver and immediately frowned. It was cold, but again, with everything going on, the stallion hardly had the time to notice. Seeing her laying there, shivering, made his heart ache. He wanted to go over and comfort her, to warm her up. That would be the right thing to do.. right? He just wasn't sure if that was an acceptable gesture. He hardly knew her, after all.
Then she smiled at him. Illucid's jaw fell open, and if this were a funny cartoon, it would be hitting the floor in such a dumbfounded way, maybe even catching a fly. What did that mean? Was she just being friendly? Did that mean it was okay for him to talk to her? He gave a shake of his head. Just do it. With a small, shy sort of smile, Illucid walked over to the mare, ears lowering. He prayed that she wouldn't be offended by the kindness he wanted to show. His mouth opened in his first attempt to speak, but he quickly closed it again when he realized no words were coming out. Well, this had just become even more awkward. It was all he could do not to turn tail and just lay down somewhere out of sight so he could die of embarrassment. The young stallion decided to suck it up, though, and he tried again. "H-hello," he stammered, silently beating on himself for letting his voice falter. "Can.. I mean, do you.. Uh.. would you like some company?"

I couldn't help but draw it, really! :'D Also Illucid's leg markings are a lot harder than they look like. :dead:
Enjoy ;D
